    St. Pat’s Day 5K

    St. Patrick’s Day celebrations will continue with a 5K run/walk in Elizabethtown on Saturday March 17, 2018. This fun run/walk is open to everyone. Every participant will receive a custom finisher’s medal. Adult participants will receive a swag bag and t-shirt. Registration costs are $35.00 through  March13, and $40 March 13 through race day.   • LCMS Mat Hawks compete at state

    The LCMS Mat Hawks recently competed in the KY Folkstyle Middle School State Tournament. The Hawks had 5 wrestlers compete in the individual bracketed tournament this year.

    7th grader Gabe Fortier competed in the 86 lbs. weight class going 1-2 on the day. Gabe started off with a tough loss 6-5 against a tough Scott County opponent before tech pinning his next opponent 16-0. In his last match, an early takedown was the downfall losing 2-0 to the eventual 3rd place finisher from Ryle.

  • LCMS volleyball hits the road

    It was a busy week for the LCMS Lady Hawk volleyball team as they traveled for two away games last week before coming home for a one game home-stand last Thursday night.

    The Lady Hawks opened their week of play by traveling to Bluegrass Middle to take on the Lady Bulldogs on Monday, February 19. The 7th grade Lady Hawks began the night of action hoping to find their fourth win of the season, but the Lady Bulldogs were prepared to protect their home turf as they defeated the 7th grade Lady Hawks in consecutive sets to win the match.

  • Lady Hawks lose heartbreaker

    The Lady Hawks varsity basketball team lost 51-49 in overtime at the 18th district championship game on Thursday, February 22 to their rival the Green County Lady Dragons.

    The game came down to the final seconds as Mallory Williams hit a three pointer with 9.4 seconds left to tie the game 40-40. Williams was fouled with two seconds left and went to the line for the 1-and-1. She missed the free throw, but it was rebounded by Presley Brown who had her shot rim out to send it into overtime.

  • Hawks win district championship

    The Hawks varsity basketball team won their second consecutive 18th district championship on Friday, February 23 after they beat the Caverna Colonels 80-48.

    The Hawks jumped out to an early 22-11 lead at the end of the first quarter. The Hawks had four of their five starters with two fouls midway through the 2nd quarter. The Hawks reserves came off the bench and helped to extend the lead to 35-20 at halftime.

  • LCMS volleyball hawks play West...

    The LCMS Lady Hawks Volleyball team hosted the Lady Lakers from West Hardin Middle on Tuesday, February 6 as the two teams met for the first time in the young volleyball season.

    The 7th grade Lady Hawks tipped off the night taking the first set in dominating fashion by a score of (21-7). The second set was much closer as both teams fought hard for the victory but it was the Lady Hawks that pulled away for a (21-15) victory in the second set that sealed the sweep for the Lady Hawks.

  • Girls, boys basketball district...

    The Lady Hawks and Hawks basketball teams started tournament play at Caverna this week. Both teams played Hart County in the first round of the 18th District Tournament on Tuesday, February 20. A first round win would put each team in the 5th region tournament set to begin next week.

    The 18th District girls basketball championship game will take place on Thursday, February 22 at 7 p.m. EST. The 18th district boys basketball championship game will take place on Friday, February 23 at 7 p.m. EST.

  • Mat Hawks perform well at state

    The LaRue County Wrestling Team capped a great season at the KHSAA State Wrestling Championships this past Friday and Saturday.

    The Hawks finished 16th Place as a team overall and 7th in the small school division and had three individual state placers. The Hawks wrestled well throughout the tournament with every qualifying wrestler winning a match on day 1.

  • Lady Hawks finish on high note

    The Lady Hawks varsity basketball team finished their regular season with a third consecutive win as they beat the Campbellsville Lady Eagles 52-41 on Monday, February 12.

    The Lady Hawks has a small 13-9 lead at the end of the first quarter, but they turned up the heat in the second quarter outscoring the Lady Eagles 20-9 to take the 33-18 lead at halftime.

    Both teams put up 12 points in the third quarter to make the score 45-30. The Lady Hawks held on in the fourth quarter to win by 11 points.
