  • Future Blue and White Hawks

    The 2018 Future Hawks Basketball Camp is May 30 through June 1, 2018. It’s a three-day program to help LaRue County students begin to understand the basic fundamentals and grasp specific basketball skills. The three days are concentrated into bettering their skills in passing, dribbling, rebounding, footwork, and much more. The camp also provides players an opportunity to compete among one another.

  • Senior Night for Lady Hawks

    The Lady Hawks varsity softball team have now won three straight games, including a 2-0 finish in the Abe Lincoln Classic tournament on Saturday, May 12.

    The Lady Hawks hosted the tournament and it didn’t take long for their opponents, Nelson County and Cumberland County, to realize they were on LaRue County’s field. The host Lady Hawks defeated Nelson County, 13-3 in five innings and Cumberland County, 8-1

    Sara Jo Calhoun  struck out two, walked two and allowed two singles in throwing 64 pitches. She was also 2-for-4 with an RBI.

    The Hawks varsity baseball team kicked off their baseball schedule last week as the Hawks visited the North Bullitt Eagles last Monday, May 7.

  • Former Lady Hawk, Lady Topper...

    Ivy Brown will still be on the Kentucky women’s basketball scene. The former Western Kentucky star has accepted a position as an assistant coach to Zach Simpson with the Greenwood High School girls’ basketball team.

    Brown led the Lady Toppers to three Conference USA championships and three NCAA Tournament appearances during her playing career at WKU. She’ll join the Greenwood staff while student teaching at Richardsville Elementary and Warren East High School.

  • Lady Hawks beat John Hardin,...

    The Lady Hawks varsity softball team broke even this past week after they beat John Hardin 10-1 on Wednesday, May 2 and lost to Bethlehem 13-12 on Friday, May 4.

    In the game against John Hardin, Junior first baseman Jordan McClure had a home run and junior Sara Jo Calhoun was 2-for-4 with a double and two RBIs. To start the game, junior Kellee Cundiff hit a two-run single, scoring senior Presley Brown and junior Emma Bell, and senior Chloe Price roped a base hit to left that scored McClure and Cundiff.

       The LCHS Football team will hold their 1st Annual Mattress fundraiser from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday May 12, 2018 in the high school gymnasium at 925 S Lincoln Blvd, Hodgenville, KY. During this time members of the community and its surrounding areas are encouraged to drop in, lay down, and test out a new mattress for their sleep needs. A variety of sheets, pillows, protective coverings, and more will also be on display. A percentage of every mattress sold will go back to the LCHS Football program.

  • Freshman hawks

    Due to weather the LaRue County Hawks Freshman team played in just one game this past week as they hosted the Hart County Raiders on Monday, April 30 for a double-header. In the first game the Hawks pounded out 9 hits as Tate Wootton, Jackson Carpenter, and Caden Davis had 2 hits each while Levi Austin, Kellen Bowen, and Carsen DeVary had one hit each. The Hawks defeated the Raiders by a final score of 13-2 as Jameson LaRue picked up the win on the mound for the Hawks.

    2018 Future Hawks Basketball Camp

        The future Hawks Basketball Camp will be held from 12:45 to 2:45 p.m. on May 30-June 1 at the LaRue County High School gym. The camp is open to boys in 2nd thru 8th grades (as of Fall 2018). The cost is $40; siblings receive a $10 discount. Registration includes Camp T-shirt, fundamental instruction, and awards. Registration forms are available at local LC schools.
