  • LCHS Seniors win Spirit Stick
  • Hawks win, up next Adair

    The Hawks varsity football team found their rhythm once again as they beat the Hart County Raiders 45-18 during their Homecoming game last Friday.

    The Hawks went to their basics as a running team as they picked up 363 yards rushing in the game and had 58 yards passing for 421 total yards on offense. The Hawks defense was also solid as they held the Raiders to only 169 total yards with 119 yards rushing and 50 yards passing.

  • Hawks shutout by Taylor County

    The Hawks suffered a disappointing 39-0 loss to the Taylor County Cardinals last Friday.

    This was the first time the Hawks were scoreless in a game since the 2015 season when the Cardinals also beat the Hawks 27-0.

    During the game last Friday, the Hawks simply struggled to get in the end zone as they had several stalled drives along with two interceptions. The Hawks actually had a good game offensively as they put up 314 total yards on offense with 89 yards passing and 225 yards rushing.

  • LCMS girls basketball win first...

    As week four of the LCMS Girls’ basketball season rolled around, the Lady Hawks hit the road and traveled to West Hardin Middle School on Tuesday, September 4 to face the Lady Lakers. The 7th grade Lady Hawks tipped off the night of action and found themselves down by a score of 6-0 at the end of the first quarter. In the second quarter, the Lady Hawks put six points on the scoreboard and trailed the Lady Lakers 14-6 at halftime.

  • Maintaining the course

    The sport of Cross country by its nature features varied terrain, elevation, and weather conditions. Very few high school teams across the state have their own, on site cross country course. That is not the case for the LaRue County High School team as they have had the luxury of practicing and competing on the campus of LaRue County Schools since 2013.

  • LCHS volleyball fall to 3-7 on...

    The Lady Hawks volleyball team are now 3-7 on the season. Their next match is away this Thursday, September 13 against the Hart County Lady Raiders at 7 p.m.

  • LCHS boys and girls soccer...

    Boys soccer

    The Hawks have won four straight games, including two last week against Fort Knox and Barren County. They are now 5-3 on the season. Their next game is Saturday, September 15 when they play in the Barren County Trojan Classic. Opponents and times in the tournament are TBA.

  • LCMS Hawks football picks up...

    The LCMS Hawks hosted the Bluegrass Bulldogs on Wednesday, September 5 as they were searching for their third win of the season.

    With 3:15 to go in the first quarter the Bulldogs struck first to take a 6-0 lead. With 7:55 to go in the second quarter Levi Logsdon put the Hawks on the board as he ran in a touchdown and also ran in the two point conversion as the Hawks took an 8-6 lead. With less than a minute to go before half-time the Bulldogs struck again on a running play as they took a 12-8 into the half.
