When Pappaw let me Drive

We all have those songs that remind us of certain moments in our life, people in our life, etc. I have many of them myself, but one of the songs that has been replaying in my mind since Friday, October 5 is Alan Jackson’s “When Daddy Let Me Drive.”

The song is written about the stories of a young child whose dad let them drive an old boat and old truck. Although the age of the young boy is never given in the song, the child was obviously way under the legal age to drive a vehicle.
