    Hattie Ward scores the only goal with an assist by Gillian Nunn:

    The visiting Meade County Lady Waves and LaRue County Lady Hawks battled to a 1-1 tie Monday evening.

    The Lady Hawks (8-1-1) struck first when sophomore midfielder Nichole Thomas scored to give LaRue County a 1-0 halftime lead.

    The Lady Waves (4-3-1) got the equalizer when senior midfielder Micaela Ray scored off a feed from senior midfielder Katelyn Cucino with 22 minutes left in the match.

    Two cases involving current and former city leaders continue to intertwine in the court system.
    Hodgenville Police Chief Steve Johnson was back in LaRue District Court Monday as his attorney, Danny Rock, and special prosecutor Matthew Hite, discussed future court dates and shared evidence.

    LaRue County High School graduates Joseph Gearon, left, and Shelbi Brooks, received $500 scholarships from The Lincoln Museum’s Edward and Thelma Ford Scholarship program.
    Gearon will attend the University of Kentucky. Brooks will begin her studies in elementary education at Elizabethtown Community and Technical College.
