    4-H Summer Camp

    4-H Summer Camp will be held May 29 through June 1 at Lake Cumberland.  Limited spaces for boys and girls are available on a first come first served basis.  The cost for camp is $220.  Call the LaRue County Extension Office at 270-358-3401 for more information.

    Shooting Sports

    The 4-H Shooting Sports Club meets on the first and third Thursdays of the month at the New Haven Gun Club.  The next meeting is scheduled for Thursday, June 7. 

  • 4-H Speech Contest Results

    Members of LaRue County 4-H recently competed in a county speech competition.  Champions of each age division were then able to compete at the district level. Results are as follows:

    2018 Future Hawks Basketball Camp

        The future Hawks Basketball Camp will be held from 12:45 to 2:45 p.m. on May 30-June 1 at the LaRue County High School gym. The camp is open to boys in 2nd thru 8th grades (as of Fall 2018). The cost is $40; siblings receive a $10 discount. Registration includes Camp T-shirt, fundamental instruction, and awards. Registration forms are available at local LC schools.   • 2018 May Primary Election Results

    The May 22, 2018 LaRue County Primary Election with only Democrats on the ballot, ended in a 30% turnout and a close race for Judge Executive and a long term Magistrate unseated.

    Registered Democrat voters in LaRue County number 5,932. On Tuesday, 1,803 cast their votes for the six contested races. There was no Republican contested races in this year's primary.

    Incumbent LaRue County Judge/Executive Tommy Turner won re-election as he defeated candidate Joe Pearman by only 243 votes. The final count was Turner with 1,019, and Pearman with 776.
