  • Bluegrass Pipeline focused on kitchen table discussions

    For the last three months, representatives of Bluegrass Pipeline have been meeting in the homes of landowners in 13 Kentucky counties to discuss the project and the prospect of purchasing an easement, which is the right to use a narrow strip of land for installation of the underground pipeline. 

  • BIRTH: Manning

    James and Kimberly Manning of Hodgenville announce the birth of their daughter, EmmiLou Grace Manning.

    EmmiLou Grace was born at 9:10 a.m. Dec. 22, 2013. She weighed 6 pounds 14 ounces and was 19-inches long.

    She was welcomed home by her big brother Caden James Manning.

    Maternal grandparents are Kathleen and David Edlin of Elizabethtown.

    Paternal grandparents are Karen and Shawn Lafollette of Hodgenville.

  • Leadership class

    The Leadership LaRue participants visited the LaRue County Courthouse Jan. 16 for  Local Government Day. The class is sponsored by the LaRue County Chamber of Commerce.   • Hawkins honored as employee of the year

    Venita Hawkins was selected as Employee of the Year for 2013 by Nationwide Uniform.

    She has been employed with Nationwide since Aug. 4, 1976. She is employed in the trouser department.

    She received a special award for her dedication and service at the annual Christmas program on Dec. 23.
