        The Hodgenville Rotary Club is currently accepting scholarship applications for the club’s James D LaRue, Jr. Scholarship. The deadline is April 26, 2018.

  • April Personnel Changes

    The LaRue County Board of Education reviewed several personnel changes at their April meeting.

    Accepted the Recommendation of Employment of:

    Troy Young as Weight Room Coordinator at LCHS

    Dastel Judd as Boy’s Track Coach at LCHS

    David Raleigh as Superintendent for LaRue County Schools

    Clarence Baker as Football Coach at LCMS

    Adryanne Warren as Girl’s Club Sponsor at ALES

    4-H Cooking Club

    The 4-H Cooking Club will meet from 3:30 to 5 p.m. on Monday, April 16 at the LaRue County Extension Office.

    4-H Canoe and Kayak Club

    The 4-H Canoe & Kayak Club will meet at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 17 at the Extension Office.

  • ECTC announces President’s, Dean’s Lists for Fall 2017

    Elizabethtown Community and Technical College has announced the names of students who made the Dean’s List and the President’s Honor List for Fall 2017 Semester. The President’s Honor List is awarded to full-time and part-time students who are eligible based on the following criteria:

    Full-time degree-seeking students earning a 4.0 grade point average and successfully completing at least 12 hours of course work for the academic term, excluding developmental courses, are included in the Full-time student President’s Honor List.

  • HES Rocket Club

     They may not be rocket scientists—yet--but the five members of Hodgenville Elementary School’s Paper Rocket Club are learning the essentials of producing and launching rockets and improving their academic skills in the process.

    The fourth graders, under the guidance of club adviser Traci Weaver, meet in her classroom Tuesdays and Thursday afternoons for five weeks. At each meeting they build a rocket and launch it that same day.
