  • Life’s greatest decisions always carry with them the ramifications of the paths we choose. The doors we take in life must be approached with discernment and thoughtfulness that flows from who Christ is in us. A good example of how the choices we make effect our future can be found in Genesis 13, 14, and 19 in the life of Abraham’s nephew, Lot.

    The Background of the Story

  • Why do we fear?  One may say that the devil is behind it all.  The devil does not want us to have the peace that God wants us to have.  Adam’s disobedience in the Garden of Eden caused him to fear when he heard God’s voice.  He knew he was not ready to face God.

One could also say that a person is responsible for his own fearfulness.  Adam didn’t have to do what he did.  He chose to disobey God, and then he had reason to fear God.

  • When he was a small boy, Clay Rogers used to look up in the sky at all the airplanes flying above him and wonder what the view of the ground would look like from the passengers’ perspectives.

Now, he no longer has to wonder as the recent graduate of LaRue County High School is well on his way to gaining his private pilot’s license.

  • John Ross Slack of Hodgenville graduated from the University Of Louisville Brandeis School Of Law on May 12, 2018.

He graduated Summa cum Laude, and received the Distinction in Litigation skills award as well as being recognized as the Outstanding Graduate of the school due to his high scholarship, prominent leadership, and service to the university.
