Thought for the week: One. One tree can start a forest, one smile can lift a soul, one word can frame the goal, one candle can wipe out darkness, one laugh can conquer gloom, one hope can raise your spirits and one life can make the difference; be that one today.

Happy 88th birthday wishes to my sweet momma, Cathy LaFollette, who will celebrate her birthday on the 13th. She loves receiving birthday cards in the mail. Send them to 131 Underwood Ave, Hodgenville KY 42748.

Welcome to David Raleigh as new LaRue County Schools Superintendent.

Plowshares Farm invites the community to join in a prayerful walk through their farm on Sunday, April 22. “This is a simple and intentional celebration of our common home and our common destiny, stopping occasionally to stand in silent reverence of the life surrounding us, sharing dreams and visions of a better world, recommitting our lives to the creation of such a world,” says Bob Ernst. “As Earth once again passes through the vernal equinox and spring comes to life on the farm, we gather to celebrate our shared humanity.”
