Dr. B.T. Bishop is home from the hospital and doing fairly well. Norma Moore had surgery a couple of weeks ago and is doing well at home.

Our deepest sympathy to Mike Jones of Hodgenville in the passing of his sister last week. Church services were canceled on Sunday, January 14 at Lane Lincoln and First Baptist due to inclement weather.

Thought for the week: Life in not about being rich, being popular, being highly educated or being perfect. It is about being real, being humble and being kind.

Hope the nasty flu bug that is going around has run its course and that everyone is feeling better.

The snow gone at last! I hope it stays this way for a long time.

Congratulations to Chris Miller on being chosen as the January employee of the month for Nationwide Uniform.

Thought for the week: Don’t ruin a good today by thinking about a bad yesterday. Let it go.

These cold temperatures can move on out and stay gone. My wishes came true for a couple of days, as temperatures stayed in the 60s, but then it was back to freezing temperatures, snow and ice. I am not a happy camper.

A big hello goes out to John and Carolyn Hornback. Congratulations to Mr. Andy Arendt for winning the 2018 LaRue County ExCEL Teacher of the Year award.
