    Class of 1985 Reunion deadline October 1

    The LaRue  County High School Class of 1985 will be having a 30 year reunion on October 17 at Arrowhead BBQ 195 Lee Oak Drive, Hodgenville from 6 to11:00 p.m.  The cost is $20 per person; this includes the meal.  Money can be mailed to Diana Sadler Cottrell, 2935 Parker Grove Road, Magnolia, KY 42757 or Melanie Skaggs Read, 1540 Parker Grove Road, Magnolia, KY 42757 by October 1.  Please call 270-324-3917 with questions.

    The Garden Club of Elizabethtown met on September 3, 2015. The program was to be “Birds of the Elizabethtown Area.” However, the speaker was unable to attend and Douglas Gebler stepped in as a last-minute speaker.   Gebler presented information on Elizabethtown’s Greenspace Trails and described the newest of the Greenspace Trails at Elizabethtown’s Nature Park.   • Crook-Pepper Wedding

    Hailey E. Crook and Micah S. Pepper were married on June 13, 2015. The ceremony was held at Caldwell Chapel in Louisville with Dr. Bill Thomas officiating. The reception immediately followed at Gardencourt in Louisville.

    The bride is the daughter of Henry Crook and Michele Coleman of Madisonville. She is a graduate of the University of Kentucky with a bachelor’s degree in accounting and is a licensed CPA. She was employed as an international accountant at Ashland, Inc. in Lexington before moving to Michigan with her husband.

  • Community Calendar - September 23, 2015

    Free Wellness and Health Fair

    Hope Food Pantry will host a wellness and health fair, from 4:30 until 6 p.m. on September 23 at the United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall. Many agencies will be available to answer questions and provide information on improving your health. Food will be provided and there will be door prizes.

    The LaRue County Saddle Club

    The LaRue County Saddle Club monthly meeting will be Thursday, September 24, at 7 pm at the arena.
