    Let’s continue in prayer for the families that has lost ones due to various acts of violence, injuries, or sickness, and all the sick and shut-ins, hospitals, nursing homes, jailhouses, prisons, rehabs, the homeless, our country and most of all, pray for one another. Have a safe and happy week. I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday weekend.

    First Baptist- Wednesday at 12:00 noon, will be Bible Study. Saturday at noon will be Missionary Meeting. The third Sunday in December will be Senior Citizen Day during morning services.

  • Senior Calendar - December 2, 2015

    Prime Time Band

    There will be a dance Friday Dec. 4, 2015 at LaRue County Senior Center in Hodgenville, KY.

    Admission is $4.00 each. The Prime Time Band will provide the music. POC Jim Walters 270-737-5655 or cell phone 270-766-4437. Get your tickets early for the New Years Eve dance on December 31, which will be held at the center. A meal and potluck dinner for $10.00 each. Limited seating.     American Sewing Guild

    A neighborhood chapter of the American Sewing Guild meets at 6 p.m. the first Monday each month at the LaRue County Extension office. For more information, contact Master Clothing Volunteer Rosa Smith at 270-358-9049.

  • Glen Rice in concert

    Glen Rice’s 2015 Musical Concert Series will have a “My Special Christmas” concert at 2 p.m. on Sunday, December 6 at the Hardin County Schools Performing Arts Center in Elizabethtown.

    The concert will feature musicians Pat Portman, Amber Martin, Allie Shae, Camille Turner, Teri Lynn Dandy, Roger Conley, Ricky Howsare and Clint Sapp.

  • Cooking Corner - November 25, 2015

    Apple Snickers Salad

    4 large green apples

    4-5 snickers bars

    8 oz cool whip

    1 small box vanilla instant pudding mix

    1 1/2 cup milk


    Mix milk and pudding then fold in the cool whip.

    Cut up apples and snickers and mix in. Top with caramel. Serve cold or layer and serve cold.
