  • Overdose awareness event coming to Hodgenville

An event for international overdose awareness will be held at 6 p.m. on August 31 in Hodgenville at Creekfront Park at 6 p.m.

According to event coordinator Vicki Dawley, every year we lose thousands of people from drug overdose. She said some survive but suffer a permanent injury, with devastating impact to their families and friends.

“Larue County is not immune. You may have seen it, it has happened to people around you,” Dawley said. “Tomorrow, it could happen to someone you love. This is not an invisible issue.”
