Saturday was the annual Cobb’s Reunion. This is a yearly event that many family and friends attend. This led up to the 135th Church Anniversary and Annual Homecoming on Sunday, August 9. It was a busy active weekend for Hodgenville. There were various family cookouts/dinners throughout the community.

The Lady Legion of the Hodgenville American Legion will be having a fish fry every Friday evening starting at 6 to 8 p.m. at the American Legion. Also, on Saturday, they will be sponsoring a cornhole tournament starting at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 23.

Thought for the week:  Worry looks around, regret looks back and faith looks forward.

Out and about in Hodgenville: Friday, cousin Rosetta and I drove up to Florence to help my brother Dale with his yard sale. That was the week of the great 127-yard sale event. On Saturday, we attended the Williams Reunion. It had been a few years since we have been and it was well attended. Door prizes were given and family feud was played. Thursday, August 13 is the 23rd annual National Left Handers day, which includes me. I think this should be a legal holiday.
