Toni Wiley has been named the Kentucky Higher Education Assistance Authority outreach counselor for LaRue County.

Wiley was previously the KHEAA outreach counselor in the southern part of the state.

“I’ve loved serving the 13 southern counties but am looking forward to helping students closer to home,” Wiley said. “I want to help our students get the most KEES money they can and become more prepared for life after high school.”

In addition to schools, Wiley will work with adult education centers, state agencies and other groups. She can be reached at tmwiley@kheaa.com or 270-403-9468.

Wiley is a native of New Albany, Ind., and a resident of Bardstown. She has a bachelor’s degree in liberal arts from St. Catharine College and a master’s in fine arts from Spalding University.

She and her husband, Dennis, who is a martial arts instructor, have one son, Shane, a freshman at St. Catharine College.

KHEAA is the state agency that administers the Kentucky Educational Excellence Scholarship, need-based grants and other programs to help students pay their higher education expenses.
