LaRue County Park & Recreation Board to meet
LaRue County Park & Recreation Board of Directors will meet 6:30 p.m. June 8 at the park. Everyone is invited to attend. For more information, call Eric DeVary at 358-8386.
 LaRue County Park & Recreation pool open
The LaRue County Park & Recreation pool is open 11 a.m.-5 p.m. daily. Monthly family pass is $30. Admission is $3 per person for age 12 and older; $1.50 for under age 12.  New Haven Pool now open
The City of New Haven Municipal Pool is open. The pool facility is available for parties at the rate of $100 which includes two lifeguards and two hours of swimming. The pool is also selling summer passes for $40 individual; $75 family. For more information, contact New Haven City Hall at 549-3177.
Volleyball skills clinic
The LaRue County High School volleyball team will host a volleyball skills clinic for girls in grades K-5. The clinic will be 10 a.m.-noon June 8-9 in the LCHS gym. Cost is $45 and will include a T-shirt. Make checks payable to the LCHS Volleyball Boosters. Registration forms may be picked up at ALES, HES or LCHS. LaRue County Youth Baseball fundraiser
LaRue County Youth Baseball will have a fundraiser 5:30-10 p.m. June 10 at LaRue County Park & Recreation. The entire community is invited to attend. Program includes inflatables for kids, silent auction, cake walk and cookout. All teams will be participating in kickball games. For more information, call Eric DeVary at 358-8386.

KHSAA State Fast Pitch Softball Tournament to be live cast
High school fast pitch softball fans will be able to view live video coverage and photos from this year’s KHSAA State Fast Pitch Softball Tournament. iHigh.com will provide live video coverage of the winner’s bracket final and championship game on Saturday, June 11. LCHS soccer boosters meet
The LaRue County High School Soccer Boosters will meet 6:30 p.m. June 13 in Room 167 at Hodgenville Elementary School. All players and parents are urged to attend.

Mixed Martial Arts event set for June 18
Two former LaRue County High School wrestlers will be showcased in mixed martial arts June 18 in Elizabethtown.
Cody Gibbons and Eric Burrell are scheduled to go three rounds with an unnamed opponent. Gibbons, 24, has a 2-1-0 record; Burrell, 25, has a 2-0 record.
The Hardrock MMA 36 Pro/Am event will begin at 7:30 p.m. at the Armory, 304 W. Warfield St.
The event is sanctioned by the Kentucky Boxing and Wrestling Authority.

Campbellsville Girls Hoops Camp
The Campbellsville University Lady Tigers are hosting their inaugural team camp June 20-22. Teams are guaranteed a minimum of eight games in three days, with competition divided between varsity, JV and middle school divisions. Teams must have seven players minimum. Future Hawks Basketball Camp
The LaRue County High School basketball staff will host the Future Hawks Basketball Camp on July 11-14. The camp is open to any boy in grades 1-8 as of August. Grades 1-4 will run 9-11 a.m. Grades 5-8 will run 11:30-1:30 p.m. Cost of camp is $35 with $5 discount for each additional sibling. Camp fee will include T-shirt, competition awards and fundamental instruction from the LCHS basketball staff. Forms may be picked up at local schools. Pre-registration forms can be mailed to Josh Henderson at 101 Teri Rose Ct. Hodgenville or registration will be accepted on the first day of camp. LaRue Chamber Golf Scramble
The LaRue County Chamber of Commerce’s 17th annual fundraiser golf scramble will begin 9 a.m. July 13 at LaRue County Country Club. Cost is $60 a player or $240 per team and includes lunch, hole prizes, door prizes, cash prizes and a jackpot. For more information, call 358-3411.

LCMS football players need physical
LaRue County Middle School football will begin 5:30 p.m. July 18. Practice ends at 7:30 p.m. You must have a sports physical before you can participate in practice. Players will meet in the football field house.

Lady Hawks Basketball Summer Camp
The LaRue County Lady Hawks will host a basketball camp July 25-27 in the LCHS gym. Camp for 1st-4th grade will be 10-11:30 a.m.; 5th-8th grades will meet 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. Campers will be taught fundamentals by the LCHS and LCMS coaching staffs and possible guest hosts.
