 Sports passes available

LaRue County High School sports passes are available. $50 for students; $100 for adults. All-sport family passes (for K-12 students and immediate family) are $150. Passes are available at games or contact David Dawson at 270-358-2210.

 

Lincoln Days Railsplitter Run

The 5K Railsplitter Run & Walk will be held Sunday, Oct. 5, as part of the Lincoln Days festivities. The one-mile run/walk begins at 1:30 p.m., followed by the 5K at 2:15 p.m. Participation is open to all age groups.

Registration for the walk will be held from noon to 1 p.m. at the corner of West Main Street and Walters Avenue in Hodgenville. Competitors can enter the Railsplitter Run until 1:30 p.m.

Entry fee is $15 in advance or $20 day of race. Student rate is $10 (ages 19-and-under). Forms can be downloaded at www.lincolndays.org.

 

St. Jude Charity barbecue dinner, auction and golf scramble

A fundraiser for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital will be Oct. 11 at the LaRue County Country Club. Golf scramble begins at 1 p.m. with sign-in at noon, entry fee is $240 per team or $60 per player. Pulled pork dinner will be served 4-7:30 p.m., $8, dine-in or carryout. Charity auction to follow. Kickball: Kick for a Cause

LaRue County Parks and Recreation is hosting a “Kick for a Cause” kickball tournament to benefit the Alzheimer's Association and the Walk to End Alzheimer's. The tournament is Saturday, Oct. 25 at the park. The entry fee is $120 per team of 12 players; double elimination tournament; trophies go to the top two teams. Teams must be co-ed with minimum of three female players per team. The deadline to enter is noon Oct. 20. There will be drawings for door prizes and fun for the entire family all day.
