Shepherd named Publisher of Herald News

An official announcement from Michael G. Abernathy, President of Landmark Community Newspapers, Inc. was made this week, naming Allison Shepherd, Publisher of the LaRue County Herald News.

Shepherd began her career as General Manager and Advertising Manager of The Herald News in August 2010.

In the official letter concerning Shepherd, Abernathy wrote ‘During this time you have contributed greatly to the performance of the operation and have grown as a manager. The community has benefited from your leadership and active participation during these last five years. In recognition of your good work and responsibility of your position, you are being named publisher of the LaRue County Herald News effective immediately.”

“I’m very excited for Allison in being named Publisher of the LaRue County Herald News” said Chris Ordway, regional manager and Publisher of The News-Enterprise in Elizabethtown “This title is reflective of the hard work, contribution and dedication Allison has provided both the newspaper and the Hodgenville/LaRue County community while serving as the newspaper’s General Manager.”

Shepherd resides in Elizabethtown with her husband, Doug Shepherd and their two children, son Dustin, 22 and their daughter Kristen, 6.
