The LaRue County High School Prom will be 8 p.m. to midnight April 18. A community preview will be 7-7:30 p.m.

LCMS site-based council

The LaRue County Middle School site-based decision-making council will meet at 4:30 p.m. March 16 in the school’s library. For more information, call the school at 270-358-3196.

Distinguished Young Woman

Any current high school junior girl interested in participating in the LaRue County Distinguished Young Woman program should contact Denise Skaggs at 270-325-3804. The program is scheduled for 7 p.m.  June 13. Distinguished Young Women is a national scholarship program that inspires high school girls to develop their full potential through a fun, transformative experience that culminates in a celebratory showcase of their accomplishments.

 

Wee Time; Kindergarten, Here I Come

Abraham Lincoln Elementary School will host Wee Time and KHIC 9-10:30 a.m. March 5. The color is brown. Hodgenville Elementary School will host the program on March 12. The color is green. Wee Time is a free preschool program for ages 2-4 sponsored by Family Resource Centers, Kids Crew Plus and United Way. High school art contest

Spotlight on Students features original art from students at Bardstown, Bethlehem, Nelson County and Thomas Nelson High Schools. The art will be displayed at The Gallery on the Square in downtown Bardstown through March 15. A reception to honor the competing students and to announce the winners of the competition will be 4-6 p.m. March 5 at The Gallery. Light refreshments will be served. The exhibit and reception are free of charge and open to the public. The exhibit is made possible by the Jamie L. Herman Memorial Fund.
