 Leadership LaRue

Leadership LaRue County will award a $500 scholarship to a graduating senior from LaRue public or private schools, or an adult wishing to begin an educational program. Essay, high school transcript and letters of recommendation required. Application available at LCHS guidance counselor’s office or The LaRue County Chamber of Commerce. Deadline is April 1.


Bluegrass Cellular 

Bluegrass Cellular will award 15 scholarships valued at $1,500 each to select graduating seniors who attend high school in Bluegrass’s 36-county home-service area. April 1 is the deadline to apply. The application and guidelines are available at bluegrasscellular.com/other/bluegrass_scholarship.


Nolin RECC

Nolin Rural Electric Cooperative Corporation will award six $1,500 college scholarships to graduating high school seniors and one $1,500 scholarship to an adult who is continuing their education at a vocational school or college. Nolin will also present a $5,000 scholarship in memory of former director Bob Wade Sr. 

Applicants must be from the Nolin RECC service area. Scholarship forms may be obtained from high school guidance counselors, the Nolin RECC office in Elizabethtown and Radcliff, or through the cooperative’s web site at www.nolinrecc.com. Beef Cattle Association

The LaRue County Beef Cattle Association will offer two $1,000 college scholarships. Applications are available at the LaRue County High School guidance counselor’s office and the LaRue County Extension office. Applications must be returned to the Extension office no later than the close of business on April 24. The winners will be notified before the end of the school year.


LaRue County Farm Bureau 

LaRue County Farm Bureau will offer four $500 college scholarships open to both high school seniors who will enter college this fall, to undergraduate college students, and to adults interested in entering college or continuing their college education. Preference will be given to applicants pursuing careers in agriculture or related fields. A $1,000 scholarship in memory of Ben H. Crawford Jr. also is available. Applicants for this scholarship must be a college sophomore or higher, including graduate students, pursuing a degree in agriculture or an agriculture-related field.

Scholarships are open to LaRue County Farm Bureau members and their children. 

Applications can be picked up from the LaRue County High School Guidance Counselor, the LaRue County Farm Bureau Office at 606 North Lincoln Blvd. in Hodgenville, or http://larue.kyfb.com. Applications must be returned to the LaRue County Farm Bureau Office by the close of business on April 30.
