Retired Kentucky State Police Captain John Ward and his daughter Marcy made ceramic bowls for the upcoming Warm Blessings “Empty Bowls” dinner and auction. The dinner is a $15 donation and each person attending will be given a handmade ceramic bowl to remind them that some people's bowls are “empty.” Ward's bowl along with other community leader bowls will be auctioned during the event as an added fundraising effort. The dinner is 4-7 p.m. March 8 at the soup kitchen at 609 E. Dixie Ave., Elizabethtown.
