LaRue County Fair starts Monday

The LaRue County Fair, the oldest continuously running county fair, will kick off Monday, June 4 and continue until Saturday, June 9.

The carnival rides will begin at 6 p.m. on Monday and they will also open at 6 p.m. each night of the fair. General admission is $10 per person Monday through Saturday. Children two-years and under are free.

The 111th LaRue County Fair will kick off Monday with several events throughout the day. Floral hall entries start at 10 a.m., KOI Drag Racing at 7 p.m. and The Most Beautiful Little Girl and the Most Handsome Little Boy pageant will be at 7 p.m. The Coca Cola Talent Contest, and Mother of the Year will be at 8 p.m.

On Tuesday, The LaRue County Market and an Open Goat show will begin at 10 a.m., an open breeding sheep show will begin at 4 p.m. KOI ATV Rodeo, Tiny Miss and Master pageant both be held at 7 p.m. The evening will end with Karaoke Night at 8 p.m.

Wednesday is senior citizens day from 1-4 p.m., and the Miss Pre-teen pageant and the Miss Teen Pageant will begin at 7:30 p.m. The grandstand event that night will be the Lawn mower Demo Derby at 8 p.m.

On Thursday, the Little Miss and Master pageant will start at 7:30 p.m. and the Lawn and Garden Tractor pull is at 8 p.m.

On Friday at 10 a.m. is the Dairy show. Miss LaRue County Fair beauty pageant will take place at 7:30 p.m. and a demolition Derby is scheduled for 8 p.m.

On Saturday, the day will start early as the 4-H and FFA Beef and Cattle Show starts at 10 a.m. The 4-H rabbit show, 4-H dog show, and an open to the public dog show will begin at 1 p.m. Central KY. Radio Control Pullers will start at 2 p.m. At 4 p.m. the 4-H and open Poultry Showmanship contest will take place. The LaRue County Speedway, a Go-Cart competition, will begin at 7 p.m., and at 7:30 p.m. the Tractor and Truck Pull will begin. The fair will finish the week off with a fireworks show at 10 p.m.
