Construction will begin on the new Sunrise Manor Nursing Home as soon as financing has been worked out.

Rondal Wright, chairman of the board of directors for the nursing home, told Land of Lincoln Planning and Zoning members Thursday that plans are ready and bids have been solicited for the new long-term nursing facility.

“We’re waiting on approval from KACo (Kentucky Association of Counties) for financing,” he said.

A groundbreaking ceremony has been scheduled for 10 a.m. Wednesday on Phillips Lane in Hodgenville.
