All six seats on the Hodgenville City Council are up for reelection during the 2016 fall general election in November.

According to LaRue County Clerk Linda Carter, Hodgenville Council members are elected every two years and they last ran for election in 2014. The Hodgenville mayor is elected on a four year term basis with the last mayoral election in 2014 and the next election in 2018.

At the time of publication, Carter said only one person has filed to run for city council and that is incumbent Mitchell Key.
