God sometimes says ‘no’ to our pleas

Wise fathers don't always agree with children

By Shirley Jones

“No good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly.” Psalm 84:11

If it was a good thing God would not have said no. Either the timing is wrong or he has something better for you. Gratitude comes when you realize what could have happened but didn’t because God intervened. So stop trying to break loose from the loving grip of the one who holds you for your own protection.

David wrote, “The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want.” Psalm 23:1. A shepherd leads you, feeds you and protects you.
