 Relay for Life 

LaRue County’s Relay for Life will begin at 1 p.m. May 30 on Lincoln Square. The event ends at 1 a.m. the next day. For more information on forming a team, call Kathy Ross at 270-234-3309.



Living Strong’s Adopt-A-Pig Project is going on through April 25. Adopt a plastic pig and enter a variety of contests to support Relay. For more information, call Kathy Ross at 270-234-3309.


Masonic Lodge pancake breakfast

B.R. Young Lodge No. 132 will hold a breakfast fundraiser 8-10 a.m. March 7 at the Masonic building on the square in Hodgenville. A $5 donation will benefit the building fund. For more information, call 270-234-4223. 


St. Baldrick’s: Shaved heads raise funds for kids with cancer

The St. Baldrick’s Foundation will hold a head-shaving fundraiser 4-7 p.m. March 14 at the Pritchard Community Center, 404 S. Mulberry St., Elizabethtown. For more information, call Bob Wilkinson at 270-319-3070 or Tessa Wilkinson at 270-872-3034.

St. Baldrick’s raises money for childhood cancer research. The name “St. Baldrick’s” is a combination of “bald” and “St. Patrick’s” since the first event was held March 17, 2000.


RELAY FOR LIFE: Famous Recipe Night

Living Strong will hold a Lee’s Famous Recipe Day on March 17. A portion of sales will benefit Relay for Life.


Becky’s bunco

Becky’s Team will hold a Relay for Life Bunco at 6 p.m. March 6 at Sunrise Manor Adult Day Care.


Hosparus Tea and Auction

Hosparus Central Kentucky will host a tea and auction 2-4 p.m. (doors open at 1:30 p.m.) March 21 at Hardin County Schools Early College & Career Center, 200 University Dr., Elizabethtown. Living Strong 5K

The Living Strong Relay for Life team will host a 5K 9 a.m. April 11 at First Baptist Church, Hodgenville, 730 Tonieville Road. Cost is $25 if registered before April 1; $30 afterwards.
