Jane Embry returned to court on January 9, 2019 to review her case, after being released from LaRue County Detention Center on December 28, 2018.  The fines that were failed to be mentioned during her sentencing on November 28 were brought back up for discussion. Embry was originally sentenced to pay $500 for each count of animal cruelty for all 100 counts. Embry originally was to pay $50,000, but during her review Judge Derek Reed adjusted her fines to $500 per case for the two cases that were filed against her.

Embry served her 30 days within the LCDC, and must now serve 335 days probation. More details concerning Embry’s case and terms of probation will be available in the upcoming January 16, 2019 edition of the LaRue County Herald News.
