DUI driver passes Sheriff going 110 mph

A speeding DUI driver got a huge surprise when he was pulled over after passing the LaRue County Sheriff going 110 mph in a 55 mph zone.

According to the arrest citation, LaRue County Sheriff Russell McCoy and Deputy Sheriff Brian Smith were traveling northbound on New Jackson Highway in one of their office’s unmarked cruisers when they saw a silver 2013 Jaguar XF Supercharged car coming up behind them at a high rate of speed. The car was driven by Ronald G Coomes, 59, of Cave City.
