Chamber Annual Dinner

   The LaRue County Chamber of Commerce annual dinner will be held on Thursday, May 16 at the LaRue County Extension Office. For more information call 270-358-3411.

Goodtime Cruisers

The Goodtime Cruisers show will be held on Saturday, May 18 beginning at 4 p.m. on the square in downtown Hodgenville. Food will be available as well as public restrooms in the Christian Church annex during the show.

Braided Rug Classes

The Abraham Lincoln Birthplace National Historic Park will be hosting a series of free braided rug classes at the park’s Birthplace Visitor Center from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on May 18 and 25. All supplies will be provided free of charge. Participants can attend one class or attend them all as learned skills will build on one another from one week to the next. Come out to the park and learn a new craft that was practiced during the Lincoln family’s time on the Kentucky Frontier.

Hope Food Pantry

Food distribution of the Hope Food Pantry will be held at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, May 22 at the Hodgenville United Methodist Church located at 825 Tonieville Road in Hodgenville. If you are a first time participate, a proof of income and proof of LaRue County residence is required. For more information contact Susan Phelps at 270-735-6334.

Save the Date

The LaRue County Relay for Life event is scheduled for Saturday, June 15 from 2 p.m. until midnight at Creekfront Park in Hodgenville.

HMH Wellness on Wheels

Hardin Memorial Hospital’s WOW Wellness on Wheels will be located at Save-A-Lot in Hodgenville from 7:30 a.m. -12 p.m. on Monday, May 20 providing the following preventative wellness screenings: blood pressure, body fat analysis, body mass index and blood glucose-no charge. Anemia screening-$5.00; Cholesterol panel which includes total cholesterol, triglyceride, HDL, LDL and glucose for $20.00; Thyroid Screening- $15.00. No appointment necessary. Family Council

The Sunrise Manor Family Council meets at 6 p.m. every fourth Thursday of the month in the second floor activity room at Sunrise Manor. All family and friends of current residents or of previous residents are invited to attend. The group has a primary goal of improving the quality of life for Sunrise family members. Every Tuesday at 11 a.m.; best suited for ages 3 – 5 years old. Join them for read-aloud, STEAM activities, and games. No pre-registration required.

Homeschool

Every first and third Wednesday of the month at 11 a.m. The program is best suited for grade school aged children. No pre-registration required.

Stretch and Shine

Free low-impact exercise class for adults is being offered at 10 a.m. every Monday at the library. Exercise will consist of gentle stretching, similar to chair yoga. No pre-registration required.

Where the Wild Books Are

A book club for Upper elementary and middle school students will meet at 5 p.m. on the fourth Tuesday of every month. No pre-registration required.

LaRue County Cro-Knitters

The LaRue County Cro-Knitters will meet at the library on the third Tuesday of the month, starting at 5:30 p.m. Open to all skill levels No registration is required.

Social Media Marketing Class

Expand your reach with SEO, ads, and much more. Learn how at the May 20, 2019 social media marketing class at the Larue County Public Library. The class will be from 2-4 p.m. Please call 270-358-3851 to register for the class.
