Boyhood Home closed
The Boyhood Home Unit at Knob Creek, part of the Abraham Lincoln Birthplace National Historical Park is now closed due to construction. For more information, visit www.nps.gov/abli.

FREE CLASS: Color Analysis
A free color analysis class will be held at 10:30 a.m. March 26 at the LaRue County Extension office, 807 Old Elizabethtown Road (270-358-3401). Learn to look your best and find what colors suit your skin and hair tones. This will help you with wardrobe and style planning. The Class is open to everyone and is sponsored by the County Homemakers organization.

FREE CLASS: Charcoal drawing
The LaRue County Public Library is offering a free class in charcoal drawing at 5 p.m. March 26. Call the library at 270-358-3851 to reserve a spot in the class.

Job Fair
The 15th annual Regional Job and Career Fair Expo sponsored by the Kentucky Career Center will be 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. April 16 at Pritchard Community Center in Elizabethtown.
A free workshop, Job Fair Etiquette 101, will be 9-10 a.m. March 27, at Kentucky Career Center, 916 N. Mulberry St., Elizabethtown. Call 270-766-5115 to register.

Dance at LaRue County Senior Center
A dance will be held 7-10 p.m. Friday, March 27 at the LaRue County Senior Center, 112 N. Walters Ave., Hodgenville. The Prime Time Band will play a variety of country and rock classics. Admission is $4. For more information, call Jim Walters at 270-737-5655.

Elizabethtown Garden Club to meet
The Garden Club of Elizabethtown will meet 9:30 a.m. to noon on April 2 at the Brown Pusey House, 128 North Main. Visitors are welcome and no reservations are required. Joni House-Webb, a self-taught mosaic artist, will present “Mosaic Art for the Garden.” Learn how to use or recycle various items to create works of art. House-Webb is the president of the Lincoln Trail Area Master Gardeners Association. Her home garden will be on the Elizabethtown Garden Club’s 2015 tour in June.

Arbor Day Ceremony (Elizabethtown)

Easter Egg Hunt at Sunrise Manor

Humana Vitality Clinic
The Lincoln Trail District Health Department and Humana Vitality will provide services to KEHP members and retirees at no charge: height, weight, blood pressure and finger stick. Bring photo ID and Humana Vitality ID card. The clinic is 7-10 a.m. April 9 at the LaRue County Extension Service, 807 Old Elizabethtown Road, Hodgenville. Vietnam Veterans to meet
Vietnam Veterans of America, Chapter 1051, Gold Vault Patriots will meet at 2 p.m. April 12 and May 10 (on the second Sunday of each month) at the Elizabethtown Police Department community room, 300 S. Mulberry Street. Membership is open to all Vietnam and Vietnam era veterans (February 1961-May 1975). Bring DD 214 copy and $20 for membership dues. Red Hill Cemetery Commission special meeting
Red Hill Cemetery Commission will hold a special meeting 6:30 p.m. April 13 at Hodgenville City Hall to discuss the purchase of new signage for the cemetery.

Free income tax preparation
 Free assistance with income tax preparation is available from the AARP Foundation Tax-Aide program. Electronic filing will be available free of charge. AARP membership is not required for assistance. Volunteers will assist taxpayers on a first-come, first-serve basis from noon to 4 p.m. through April 14 at the Greensburg Community Center, 110 N. 1st Street, Greensburg. Priority will be given to senior citizens. Some tax preparations such as farm income and clergy are out of scope and counselors are not trained to assist these taxpayers.
