Bringing exclusive fashion to Hodgenville

LaRue County fashionistas will have to look no further than downtown Hodgenville for a place to find today’s boutique fashions.

Lorrie McGonigle has always loved shopping in boutiques.

“I’m a girls girl,” McGonigle said, “I love dresses. I’m always wearing dresses or leggings and boots. I like shopping in boutiques, but would walk away with almost a buyers remorse.”

She explained that while the dresses and clothing were beautiful, they were also very expensive.

Curious as to what were the driving force behind the expensive clothing, McGonigle began to do some research.

“I wanted to know what’s going on behind the system there and could I achieve a more cost effective result?” McGonigle explained, “The more I researched the more I became interested in opening my own boutique.”

When she started her boutique online McGonigle wasn’t getting the response that she had hoped for.

“This started out online only, but I wasn’t getting the traffic that I wanted so I decided to advertise in Nancy’s storefront window and the response has been amazing.” McGonigle said. “It worked so well, in fact, that people wanted to come in feel the dresses and imagine them on themselves.”

She has only been open with a storefront for two months and has plans of expanding from the current space to the rest of the room available behind the current store front. McGonigle said she has begun ordering more inventory.

“I would like to offer children’s clothing eventually, and carry all sizes to stay true to the name ‘Every Girl’” McGonigle said.

“I really take pride in the fact that most the dresses you’ll see here are made in USA or by USA manufacturers.” McGonigle added. “I try to look for clothing that is timeless and classic. If I don’t like it or wouldn’t wear it I won’t offer it to my customers.” I like to keep my products affordable.

“I want to be part of the growing trend of women who start their own business.” McGonigle said, “I’m really excited to see where this goes.”
