Juniors Koy Lindsey and Turner Cottrell, freshman Briar Holt and eighth-grader Brandon Cecil combined for six hits and four RBIs as the visiting LaRue County Hawks snapped a four-game losing streak with a 6-2 win over Thomas Nelson on Tuesday.

Lindsey went 3-for-4, while Cottrell and Cecil combined to go 3-for-6. Sophomore Colby Skaggs went 2-for-3 with two doubles and two runs for LaRue County (4-9), which won for the first time since March 26.

Eighth-grader Jaxon Boley earned his first career win. He struck out two while allowing six hits, two earned runs and one walk in five innings.

The game was called with one out in the top of the sixth because of bad field conditions.
