Rabbit Club Fundraisers

The LaRue County Rabbit Club is holding several fundraisers to send club members and their families to the National Convention and Show of the American Rabbit Breeder’s Association in Fort Worth, Texas in November. The club will host a yard sale beginning at 8 a.m. July 26 at the LaRue County Extension office, 807 Old Elizabethtown Road, Hodgenville.


Forestry Field Day

A Forestry Field Day will be held for 4-H age youth (ages 9 to 18) 10 a.m.-2 p.m. July 29 at the LaRue County Environmental Educational Center (Pearman Farm) on Leafdale Road in Hodgenville. The day camp will be led by Extension intern Lindsey Boone and will focus on tree identification. Lunch will be provided. Call the Extension office at 270-358-3401 to sign up to participate.


4-H Day at the Fair

4-H Horticulture entries will be taken 5-6 p.m. Thursday, July 31 at the LaRue County Fairgrounds. Judging will follow. Open to LaRue County 4-H members only. Vegetables eligible for entry include tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers, beans, corn, cantaloupe, cabbage, pumpkin and watermelon. Poultry Show – July 31

The 4-H Poultry Show will be July 31 at the LaRue County Fairgrounds. Arrive by 6 p.m. The show is open to LaRue County 4-H Poultry Club members only. For more information, call the Extension office at 270-358-3401 or 4-H Poultry Club Leader Sharon Cowley at 502-640-3665.
