The highly celebrated ‘20 Under 30’ program is making its return, and we need your help.

The LaRue County ‘20 Under 30’ class of 2019 is now accepting nominations.

In our first year, 2018, we were overwhelmed with the response of our readers nominating individuals that were the first designated winners of the LaRue County Herald News ‘20 Under30’.

Last year featured an awards dinner, a plaque presentation, and special section highlighting the event.

Now in our second year, we are again looking for the best and the brightest young people in LaRue County, and we can’t find them without your help. We have optimized our categories to better fit the community, and we are excited to get started with this year’s nomination process.

If you know any person under the age of 30 that excels in any of the following categories, do not miss your chance to nominate them.

The 2019 categories are:

• Agriculture

• Art & Style

• Business & Commerce

• Community Service

• Education

• Entertainment & Music

• Food & Drink

• Multimedia

• Professional Services

• Sports & Athletics

We will be accepting nominations until 12 noon, on June 1. Nominees may be nominated in more than one category, however nominees can only win in one category if selected. Nominees can be nominated by more than one person, and it is encouraged that people nominate people regardless of whether they have been nominated by someone else. The number of nominations we have for an individual could determine if they are a winner.

Nominees must be residents of, or have previously lived within LaRue County to be eligible. Nominees must be under the age of 30 at the time of nomination.

Last year’s ‘20 Under 30’ winners are not eligible to be nominated, and the same will go for all future ‘20 Under 30’ winning classes.

A printed form is available on page 24A of today’s May 8, 2019 edition of the LaRue County Herald News, which can be filled out and turned in to our office at 40 Shawnee Drive in Hodgenville.

You can turn in the printed form in person or you can simply drop them in the mail by May 31.

An online nomination form is also available at: https://laruecountyherald.typeform.com/to/xtkezT
