  • Hawks remain undefeated

    The LCHS Hawks varsity football team picked up their fourth win of the season in exciting fashion last Friday as they beat the Taylor County Cardinals 21-19.

    The game came down to the wire in the fourth quarter when the Cardinals scored, but the Hawks stopped the Cardinals two point conversion to prevent them from tying the game.

    Park and Recreation Board

    Pickleball LaRue County

    Pickleball is being played at 5:30 p.m., Mondays and Thursdays at the Board of Education gym on College Street. Pickleball is free to anyone interested in learning the sport, a combination of tennis and ping-pong. All equipment provided.

    The Hawks lost by one goal in overtime. Goals: Saul Marin 1, Dalton Skaggs 1 and Ethan Harry 2. Assist: Dalton Skaggs 2. 

    LaRue Co. 4 vs. Hart Co. 0 8/28/17

    Goalie Valentin Campos had a shut out.  Goals: Caleb Altman 1, Dalton Skaggs 2 and David Galaz 1.  Assists: Darius Breckenridge 2 and Dalton Skaggs 1.

    The LCHS boys soccer team are now 3-3 on the season. Their next game is away this Thursday against Meade County at 7:30 p.m.

    Goals: Elena Espinosa 2, Kenzie Hornback 3 and Natalie Wolf 2.  Assists: Kirsten Harper 2, and Olivia Hazelwood 1.  Goalie Whitney Bauer had another shutout.

    The LCHS Lady Hawks girls soccer team are now 6-1 on the season. Their next game is away on Wednesday, September 6 against Barren County at 6:30 p.m. 

  • LCHS volleyball lose two

    The LCHS Lady Hawks varsity volleyball team dropped two games to Central Hardin and Bethlehem this past week.

    The Lady Hawks lost to Central Hardin 3-1 on Tuesday, August 29. Central Hardin was ranked 19th in the state at the time of the game.

    Senior Presley Brown led the Lady Hawks with 23 kills and three aces. Katelynn Lafollette had two digs and a kill. Senior setter Jessi O’Bryan got an ace and Breea Kirkpatrick made three aces with seven digs.
