  • LCMS wrestling takes fifth place

    The LCMS Mat Hawks had a strong showing in the season opening tournament on Saturday, November 4.

    The Mat Hawks finished 5th overall out of 23 teams from Kentucky, Indiana and Tennesse. The Mat Hawks ended the day with eight medalists. 6th Grader Seth Redmon (5th); 7th graders Gabe Fortier(5th), Matthew Ball(5th) and Conner Lambert(3rd) and 8th graders Queston Wheeler(5th), Dylan Lambert(3rd), Kevin Aguilar(2nd) and Dillon Wayne(Champion).

  • Basketball Blue/White night is...

    The 2017 Hawks and Lady Hawks basketball teams will kickoff the upcoming basketball season with their annual Blue and White Night at the LaRue County High School gym this Friday, November 17.

    A chili supper will be held from 5 to 6:30 p.m. in the high school cafeteria followed by the Blue/White activities in the gym starting at 6:45 p.m. Both the boys and girls basketball programs will introduce their players that play on freshmen through varsity squads. The middle school teams will also be introduced.

  • A journey of a thousand miles

    Chinese philosopher Lao Tzu said, “A journey of a thousand miles must begin with a single step.” For Lady Hawks soccer and basketball player Elena Espinosa, the opportunity for her to take a step into the unknown, 7,000 miles away from home, took a giant leap of faith.

    Espinosa arrived as a foreign exchange student to LaRue County High School over three months ago. Her host family is Scott and Kim Clemons of Buffalo. Espinosa is originally from Madrid, Spain but has spent the last three years in Dubai, UAE (United Arab Emirates).

    LCHS Daddy Daughter Dance

    The LCHS Cheerleaders are hosting their fourth annual Daddy Daughter dance from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Saturday, November 18 at the LCMS gym in Hodgenville.  Registration forms will be available at each elementary school or by contacting Danielle VanderMolen 270-307-4342 or Angela Miller 270-268-3163.

  • LCHS finishes with best record...

    The LaRue County Hawks varsity football team had their season end with a 40-27 loss to the Caldwell County Tigers in the second round of the playoffs.

    The Hawks finished the season with a 10-2 record, which is the best record since the Hawks went 10-3 in 2006.

  • LCMS boys basketball host Etown...

    As the second week of Boy’s Middle School Basketball rolled around the Hawks hosted a pair of talented Hardin County teams, the East Hardin Rebels and the T.K. Stone Panthers.

    On Monday, November 6, the East Hardin Rebels traveled to LaRue County eager to play their first game of the young season. The 7th grade Hawks and Rebels played the first game of the evening and it was the Rebels that jumped out to an early 10-9 lead over the Hawks after one quarter of play.
