    The Boys 6th Grade Travel Hawks captured the Central KY Preseason Tipoff Tourney Championship last Saturday at LaRue County High School, which was hosted by the LaRue County High School Boys’ Basketball team.

    The Hawk’s defeated the East Hardin B team in the first game by a score of 46-25. Carson Childress led the Hawks in scoring with 11, Caden Davis had 10, Luke Trumbo had 7, Tommy Wilmoth had 6, Tate Wootton had 4, Curtis Ford had 4, Carson DeVary had 2, and Grayson White had 2.

    Pickleball is being played at 5:30 p.m., Mondays and Thursdays at the Board of Education gym on College Street. Pickleball is free to anyone interested in learning the sport, a combination of tennis and ping-pong. All equipment provided.

    LaRue County Park and Recreation Board

    We often hear people say, “You are in the right place at the right time.”  For Senior Hawks Basketball player M.J. Embree, the right place is LaRue County High School and the right time is upon him as he embarks on the upcoming basketball season, which promises to be entertaining to say the least.

  • 7th, 8th grade Hawks pick up wins

    As the fourth week of Boy’s Middle School basketball season began, the Hawks hosted Stuart Pepper Middle School last Monday, November 14 and they traveled to Bluegrass Middle School last Thursday, November 17.

  • Sandidge wins national...

    Former LaRue County Hawks cross-country standout Adam Sandidge paved the way for Campbellsville Tiger cross country last Saturday, winning the NCCAA National Championship in Jackson, Mississippi.

    It was Campbellsville’s athletic department’s 24th overall national championship and 13th NCCAA title.

    Overall, the Tigers placed third of 17 teams in the Division I race.

  • LCMS Mat Hawks start season

    The LaRue County Middle School Mat Hawks started their season on Saturday, November 5 in the John Hardin Veterans Memorial tournament.

    The Mat Hawks finished 6th place overall out of 24 teams in the first tournament of the season. The young Hawks had 16 wrestlers compete in the match against competition from Kentucky, Indiana, Illinois, and Tennessee with six wrestlers placing in the top 5.
