    Head Coach Jamie Hardin said they did not have a full team as several middle school varsity competitors were given the option to compete or not due to it being a late night. Several 7th and 8th graders were going on a Washington D.C. trip and several of them had minor injuries and weren’t are not at 100 percent.

  • Playing with a servant’s heart

    The late Martin Luther King, Jr. once said, “Life’s most urgent question is, what are you doing for others?” Senior Hawks Baseball player Robert Absher has always had a servant’s heart and has been the epitome of a team player over the last four years.

    Absher is referred to as “Cheese,” partly because he is typically smiling and also because former teammates Koy Lindsey and Turner Cottrell nicknamed him that to avoid confusion with another teammate, Robert Thompson.

  • Season end for eighth grade...

    The 8th grade Lady Hawk’s volleyball season came to a close on Tuesday, March 28 at East Hardin as they fell to Bluegrass Middle School in the first round of post-season play.

    The Lady Hawks lost in consecutive sets by the scores of 21-17 and 21-11.

    A community family event including a 5 K run/walk will be held at 9 a.m., Saturday, April 8 at First Baptist Hodgenville located at 730 Tonieville Road in Hodgenville. The entry fee is $25 and supports Relay for Life. For more information contact the church at 270-358-3193.

  • Plowing over the competition

    he LaRue County Lady Hawks are off to their best start since the 2003 season with a 9-0 record after wins against Fort Knox, South Oldham and Adair County.

    The Lady Hawks continued their winning ways as they overpowered Fort Knox on Tuesday, March 21 by a score of 18-3.

  • Hawks drop three games

    After starting the season with a 3-0 start, the LaRue County Hawks varsity baseball team went 1-3 this past week.

    The Hawks stopped the bleeding of their losing streak with a 7-2 win against Dupont Manual on Saturday, March 25.

    Cameron Dawson got the Hawks on the board first with a two run home run in the third inning with a 2-0 lead and they got three more runs in the fourth with a bunt single by Noah Davis. Davis then went on to hit his first career home run to score two runs in the fifth inning to lead the Hawks to the five run victory.

  • Freshman baseball beat Bruins 12...

    The LaRue County Hawks freshman baseball team officially began their season last Tuesday, March 21 as they traveled to Central Hardin High School to take on the Freshman Bruins.

    Strong pitching propelled the Freshman Hawks to a 12-2 victory over the Bruins thanks in part to pitchers Tripp Chapman, Wyatt Pearman, and Evan Morris.
