  • LaRue runners headed to State

    Seventh-grader Emily Pearman and eighth-grader Clair Keller qualified at Region this weekend for the KHSAA State Cross Country Meet at the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington.

    They posted their best times of the season.

    Keller will make her second appearance at the State Meet Saturday as she ran one of her best times of the year posting a 22:07 time, and a 13th place finish at the Region 2 Class AA meet at the Hardin County Fairgrounds.

    Pearman will make her first appearance at the State Meet as she posted a 22:06 time, and placed 12th out of 87 runners.

  • Hawks fall to Louisville Central

     The LaRue County Hawks were outmanned Friday by Louisville Central’s Yellow Jackets. The Hawks lost 43-7 in a Class 3-A, District 3 game.

    Central is the top seed in the district, while the Hawks fell to the fourth seed after a home loss to Elizabethtown.

    The Yellow Jackets pulled ahead 28-0 at halftime, then scored nine points in the third quarter and six in the fourth.

    The Hawks scored in the fourth quarter when junior Marquis Franklin ran for a 5-yard touchdown and senior Koy Lindsey kicked the extra point.
