  • Baseball strike out for cancer

    It was an exciting weekend of baseball at the Josh French Strike Out Cancer 10U baseball tournament. The tournament had an amazing turnout and served as a fundraiser for the family of Josh French. French has been battling cancer for the last 6 months and is currently undergoing treatment. French is married to Angel French and they have two children in the LaRue County school system, Phillip, a sophomore, and Alex in eighth grade.

    The LaRue County High School Cheerleaders will hold their Fall Little Cheer Camp on September 16 and 17 at Abraham Lincoln Elementary School.  All little cheer camp participants will be invited to the home football game on Friday, September 18 to cheer with the LCHS varsity cheerleaders.   • Hawks fall to Adair County 47-8

    The LaRue County Hawks varsity football team is now 1-2 on the season after losing 47-8 to the Adair County Indians last Friday night.

    The Hawks struggled to get things going on offense as the Indians held them to only 94 total yards on offense with 76 yards passing and 22 yards rushing. However, the Indians had a great night offensively with 358 total yards, including 220 yards on the ground and 138 yards through the air.

    Cecil is quietly involved in various activities that make him very intriguing.

    “My interests include playing the guitar, hiking, camping and drawing,” said Cecil. “I like to stay active and keep my body and mind healthy.”
