    The LCHS boys varsity soccer team are now 3-12 on the season. They played Glasgow on Tuesday and the results of that game will be featured in the October 11 edition of The LaRue County Herald News. Their next game is away this Thursday against Greenwood at 6:30 p.m.

    The LCHS varsity volleyball team are now 17-13 on the season and 5-0 in district play.

    They played Green County on Monday and the results of that game will be featured in the October 11 edition of The LaRue County Herald News.

    The LCMS Middle School football team finished up their season last Tuesday night at they traveled to North Middle School and were handed a loss.

    The LCMS Lady Hawks took to the road on Monday, September 25 as the Lady Hawks traveled to West Hardin to take on the Lady Lakers.

  • Providing peace for the team

    William Shakespeare once said, “Blessed are the peacemakers on earth.” Lady Hawks senior soccer player Marisa Cecil is that individual on the team that provides the peace for a team that is currently 12-3-1, and the number one seed in the 18th District Tourney coming up next week.

    Cecil has been playing soccer for the last eight years. “My mom signed us up when we were younger for little league in Hodgenville, and then convinced me to play for the high school team in 7th grade,” Cecil said.

    Railspliter Run 5K and 10K

       The Railsplitter 5K and 10K run will take place during Lincoln Days at 8 a.m. on Sunday, October 8.

    The adult entry fee for the 5K is $35. The student fee is $15 each. The adult entry fee for the 10K is $45. The student fee for the 10K is also $15 each. To register visit www.lincolndays.org or call 270-358-8710.

  • Hawks blowout Bethlehem 40-0

    The Hawks picked up their seventh win of the season with a blowout 40-0 win over the Bethlehem Eagles at home on Friday, September 29.

    The game really only needed one half to be over as the Hawks were already up 34-0 at halftime.
