  • LCMS girls basketball got 1-1

    It was a tale of two teams last week for the LCMS Girl’s basketball Lady Hawks.

    Last Monday night, the Lady Hawks hosted Taylor County Middle in which both the 8th and 7th grade Lady Hawks defeated Taylor with convincing double-digit victories. The night began with the 7th grade Lady Hawks defeating Taylor Middle by a score of 27 to 15, pushing their record to 5-7. Paige Evans led the offensive scoring after pouring in 16 points while Natalie Gentry chipped in with 4, Maleah English with 3, Lydia Goode with 2, and Avery Murray with 2.

    The LCMS football Hawks ended their season with a hard fought loss to Stuart Pepper Middle School last Tuesday night in Meade County by a score of 36 to 0.

    The Middle School Hawks finished their season with a (3-4) record.

    Golf scramble

    The 9th annual St Jude Charity Bar “B” Que dinner, auction and golf scramble is Saturday, October 8 at the LaRue County Country Club. The golf scramble will take place at 1 p.m. with sign in at noon. Entry fee is $240 per team and $60 per player. The pulled pork dinner is from 4 to 7:30 for $9. The silent auction begins at noon and goes live at 6:30 p.m. All the proceeds go to WHAS Crusade for Children and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.   • 2016 Football Homecoming
  • Hawks football shutout Hart Co.

    The LCHS Hawks varsity football team shutout the Hart County Raiders 17-0 during their homecoming game last Friday.

    The Hawks defense kept the Raiders out of the end zone and held them to only 128 yards of total offense with 99 rushing yards and 29 passing yards. The Hawks only ended up with 166 total yards on offense with 116 yards rushing and 50 yards passing. However, the Hawks made use of their yardage by putting points on the board.

  • LCHS Boys’ Soccer loses two...

    The LCHS boys’ soccer team lost two straight games this past week to Nelson County and Thomas Nelson.

    The Hawks lost to Nelson County last Tuesday 2-3. Dalton Fay and Landon Thompson had one goal each. Dalton Skaggs had one assist.

  • LCHS Girls’ Soccer beats...

    After losing four straight games, the LCHS girls soccer team picked up a much needed win in a close 4-3 game against Bardstown last Saturday.

    Gillian Nunn had three goals in the game and Natalie Wolf had one goal with an assist from Gillian Nunn. Keeper Whitney Bauer had an impressive 13 saves in the game.

  • Hawks volleyball goes 3-0

    The LCHS volleyball team picked up three wins this past week against Marion County, Caverna and Hart County.

    The Lady Hawks beat Marion County last Tuesday 3-1 (26-28, 25-21, 25-17, 25-20) and they beat Caverna last Thursday 3-0 (25-6, 25-13, 25-8).

    Head Coach Ben Schell said he is pleased with his team and they played well during their matches last week.
