    Railsplitter Fun walk/run and 5K

    Lincoln Days Railsplitter Run and Walk is Sunday, October 2. Race begins and ends at 201 W. Main Street (at Walters Ave.) Early registration fee is $15 and $20 the day of the race, $10 for students (under 19 years old). Registration forms can be found at www.lincolndays.org.

  • Football Hawks beat...

    The LCHS Hawks football team picked up their first win of the season last Friday night after rolling over the Campbellsville Eagles 34-18 at home.

    The Hawks had the best rushing performance of the season as running back Bryson Cobb picked up more than 200 yards on the ground. Overall, the Hawks had a total of 306 yards on offense with 241 rushing yards and 65 passing yards.

  • Hawks volleyball drop two games

    The LCHS Lady Hawks varsity volleyball team lost two games this past week after they lost to district rival Green County last Thursday 1-3 (25-16, 21-25, 25-21 and 25-20) and Washington County on Monday 1-3 (25-21, 21-25, 25-22, 25-18).

    During the game against Green County, Cidney Neagle had 5 aces and 18 assists, Sophie Akin had 1 block and 4 kills, Kaitlynn Warnshuis got 1 kill, Rachel Armes made 5 kills, Presely Brown had 11 kills, Breea Kirkpatrick had 28 digs, Emma Bowling got 6 digs, Bella Venegas had 2 aces and Jessi O’Bryan made 3 digs.

  • Boys soccer falls to Taylor Co.

    The LCHS Boys Soccer team lost to Taylor County 0-3 last Saturday.

    The loss marks the fourth straight loss for the Hawks after starting the season undefeated.

    There were no goals or assists in the game for the Hawks. Head Coach Jimmy Adams said he believes the Hawks could have played better and that they have some areas to work on for improvement. However, he said Dalton Skaggs was injured in the game and unable to play, which changed the dynamics.

  • Girls soccer loses two games

    The LCHS girls soccer team lost to Taylor County 1-2 last Saturday and Atherton 1-4 on Monday.

    The stats were not available at the time of publication for the Taylor County game. During the game against Atherton, Gillian Nunn scored the goal for the Lady Hawks and Whitney Bauer made 11 saves.

    Head Coach Bill Hawkins could not be reached for comment at the time of publication.

    The Lady Hawks are now 4-6-1 on the season and their next game is at home this Wednesday against North Hardin at 6 p.m.

  • LCMS Hawks fall to Stuart Pepper

    Last week was a tough stretch for the LCMS Lady Hawks basketball team. Last Tuesday night, the Lady Hawks hosted Stuart Pepper Middle School from Meade County and both the seventh and eighth grade Lady Hawks fell in close games.

    The seventh grade Lady Hawks played a tremendous game, but fell just short in over-time 32-29. Leading the way for the Hawks was Paige Evans with 18 points, Avery Murray had 10, and Maleah English chipped in with 1.
