    LaRue Co. 39 vs. Campbellsville 48 1/2/17

    The 9th grade Hawks traveled to Campbellsville and lost by a score of 48-39. The Hawks went in tied at halftime but the second half was all Campbellsville as they outscored the Hawks 27-18. The Hawks struggled to make baskets and made too many second half turnovers.

    Scoring: Warner Bryan 16, Jeremiah Belton 7, Chance Bowen 7, Chase Childress 5 and Jacob Sandidge 4.

    LaRue Co. 48 vs. Campbellsville 29 1/3/17

    The JV Hawks defeated Campbellsville by a score of 48-29. The Hawks struggled on offense in the first half finding themselves down 19-15 at halftime. However, the Hawks started out fast in the 3rd quarter with an 11-0 run which helped them to a 33-24 lead at the end of the 3rd quarter. The Hawks outscored the Eagles 15-5 in the 4th quarter for the final margin of victory.

    Scoring: Kendrik Weathers 11, Noah Davis 11, Warner Bryan 6, Bryson Cobb 6, Johnny Key 4, Anthony Adkins 4, Dailliss Cox 3 and Chase Childress 3.

  • Hawks lose first game of season

    The undefeated streak came to an end for the LaRue County Hawks Varsity basketball team after they lost their first game of the season in the Magnolia Bank Holiday Classic.

    The Hawks first loss was handed to them by the Grayson County Cougars who beat them by a close 52-47 score.

  • Lady Hawks 2-1 in tourney

    The LaRue County Lady Hawks varsity basketball team had another good showing in their second holiday tournament as they went 2-1 in the PBI Danny Annis Classic last week.

    The Lady Hawks opened the tournament with an impressive 62-42 win over the Ohio County Lady Eagles last Tuesday, December 27.

  • Mat Hawks take third

    The LaRue County Mat Hawks traveled to Versailles to compete in the Woodford County Invitational last Thursday, December 29 and took 3rd place overall out of 21 teams.

    The Mat Hawks put five wrestlers in the finals with two winning. Noah Davis and Matt Steven won the tournament at 138lbs and 195lbs each pinning every opponent throughout the tournament. Freshman Tucker Shelton and Seniors Stiles Metcalf and Dawson Bingham fell in the finals to top ranked opponents.

  • LCMS Girl’s Volleyball Preview

    As another season of Girl’s Middle School Volleyball sets to begin, there is much to be excited about according to third year head coach Kendrick Bryan.

    Now that tryouts have been completed, Bryan has 25 volleyball players from the 6th, 7th, and 8th grade classes. He said there are several returning players with experience who know the system they have in place.

    The word versatility describes having many different skills or qualities.  For Sophomore Dailliss Cox, this trait has not gone unnoticed and has made him a key contributor for the Hawks Basketball team this season.

    Group pitching instructions camp

    Group baseball pitching instructions will be offered at the Elizabethtown Sports Complex on 3026 Ring Road for ages 9 through high school. Camps will begin Sunday, January 8 and will continue for four consecutive Sundays of January 15, 22, and 29. Cost is $120 per player or $30 per workout.   • Hawks win Gatlinburg tourney

    The LaRue County High School Boys’ Varsity basketball team travelled to Gatlinburg, Tennessee last week and won the Smokey Mountain Classic tournament.

    Last Wednesday, the Hawks opened play against the Lions of Concord Christian High School from Knoxville, Tennessee at the Rocky Top Sports World Complex in Gatlinburg.

  • Lady Hawks finish second in...

    The LaRue County Lady Hawks varsity basketball team went 2-1 and finished second in the R.E. Williams Holiday Classic last week.

    The Lady Hawks got off to a great start after beating the Union County Bravettes 54-47 in the opening round of the tournament on Monday, December 19.
