Adam Sandidge set a new record for LaRue County High School during the Eastern Relays, held at the University of Louisville’s campus April 26-27, running two miles in 9:52.49; breaking his previous time, which matched Mike Otis’ record of 9:55 set in 1986.
“Thirty five schools competed in the relays, some out of state,” Sandidge said. “I beat my personal best by 28 seconds; my original time was 10:20.”
He placed 47 out of 85 competitors and was 26th overall among those who competed from Kentucky.
