  • Hawks drop to Titans, prepare...

The new high school in Shelby County, Martha Layne Collins High School, brought its high-powered offense to LaRue County Friday night. Quarterback Brandon Cresap was instrumental in the Titans’ 27-7 victory. Cresap threw two TD passes in the victory.

LaRue County could only manage one touchdown and that was in the first quarter.  The Hawks had five drives of eight or more plays and had two opportunities to score inside the red zone but came up empty.

  • Mouser's hat trick helps...

September has been kind to the LaRue County High School soccer teams, albeit the boys have only played one game. Neither the boys or the girls have lost a game this month.

The Lady Hawks have provided exciting games and are entertaining to watch.

  • Football: Hawks fall to...

The LaRue County Hawks fell to Shelbyville Collins 27-7 Friday night.

Junior Drew Newberry had the only TD for the Hawks.

The Hawks (2-2 overall, 1-1 district) led 7-0 in the second quarter when a fumble immediately swung momentum in the direction of Collins (4-1, 2-1).

Junior running back Cody Thompson had 99 yards on the ground and senior running back Alex Lee ran for 97 yards.

  • Hawks slide past Green County,...

A wet football field Friday night at LaRue County didn’t work out very well for Green County. The Hawks defeated the visiting Dragons 24-22 despite Green County winning most of the statistical categories. LaRue County, however, won the most important one.

The Dragon offense produced more total offense with both their passing and their rushing game. Green County picked up 13 first downs while limiting the home team to 11. However, critical penalties hurt the visitors, and they also lost the battle of turnovers by one.
