  • LCHS Boys Freshman Results

    The LCHS boys freshman team game against Green County was canceled last Thursday because of inclement weather. The Hawks are now 3-1 on the season and their next game is at home on Thursday, January 28 against John Hardin at 6:30 p.m.

  • LCHS girls JV results

    The LCHS JV Lady Hawks had no games this past week. They are now 4-5 on the season and their next game is away on Thursday, January 28 against Barren County at 7 p.m.

  • LCHS girls freshman results

    The LCHS freshman Lady Hawks game against Bullitt Central was cancelled last Thursday because of inclement weather.. They are now 2-6 on the season and their next game is away against Elizabethtown on Monday, February 1 at 6 p.m. 

  • Wrestling matches canceled due...

    The LCMS and LCHS wrestling matches were cancelled last week because of Winter Storm Jonas.

    LCMS Mat Hawks Head Coach Jack LaRue said his teams match last Saturday has now been postponed until this Saturday because of the storm.

    The LCHS Mat Hawks also had their Louisville Central/Male Tri meet cancelled last Wednesday and the Capital City Classic was cancelled last Saturday because of the snow storms. The matches have yet to be rescheduled.  

  • Lady Hawk beat Bullitt Central...

    The LCHS Lady Hawks varsity basketball team picked up an exciting 53-50 win against the Bullitt Central Lady Cougars last Monday night.

    The Bullitt Central win brought the Lady Hawks record to 7-12 on the season. The Lady Hawks were supposed to play North Bullitt last Friday, but the game was cancelled due to Winter Storm Jonas. The game has yet to be rescheduled.

  • Hawks steamroll Bullitt Central...

    The LCHS Hawks varsity basketball team went 1-1 last week and they ended the series on a high note by routing the Bullitt Central Cougars 63-38.

    The Hawks were in command of the game from the start as they led 18-5 at the end of the first quarter and 43 to 23 at the end of the second quarter. The Hawks held their 20 point lead after halftime, leading 52-32. The Hawks put the game away in the fourth quarter with a final score of 63-38.

  • Boley gets McDonald’s All-...

    Elizabethtown High School senior Erin Boley, of Hodgenville, was named to the McDonald’s All-American Game, becoming the first area player to receive the honor.

    “It was awesome,” Boley said. “I was pretty nervous, but to see my name on the screen, it was amazing.”

    The McDonald’s All-American Games Selection Show, which aired on ESPNU on Sunday night, announced the teams for the All-Star games. Boley, though, actually saw the complete rosters on the USA Today website 10-15 minutes before the announcements.

  • LCHS Mat Hawks qualify for state...

    Qualifying for the State Duals has been a rite of passage over the years at LaRue County and the LCHS Mat Hawks added another notch to that tradition last Saturday by winning the Section 6 Duals in the small-school division.

    LaRue County edged Louisville Doss, 33-31 to win its sectional and qualify for the Kentucky Wrestling Coaches’ Association State Duals for the third straight season.

  • LCMS Mat Hawks win championship

    The LCMS Mat Hawks travelled to John Hardin High School last Saturday and won the 2016 KSWA District 2 Championship.

    The individual bracketed tournament, which is comprised of eight teams, is the first of three tournaments remaining for the Hawk wrestlers this season. The tournament advances the top 4 placers at each weight to the Region 1 Championship in Cadiz on Saturday, January 23. During the region championship, each wrestler will compete to advance to the KSWA State Championships on Sunday, February 7 at the Louisville Convention Center.
