    Railspliter Run 5K and 10K

       The Railsplitter 5K and 10K run will take place during Lincoln Days at 8 a.m. on Sunday, October 8.

    The adult entry fee for the 5K is $35. The student fee is $15 each. The adult entry fee for the 10K is $45. The student fee for the 10K is also $15 each. To register visit www.lincolndays.org or call 270-358-8710.

  • Hawks blowout Bethlehem 40-0

    The Hawks picked up their seventh win of the season with a blowout 40-0 win over the Bethlehem Eagles at home on Friday, September 29.

    The game really only needed one half to be over as the Hawks were already up 34-0 at halftime.

  • Homecoming is sweet for Hawks

    The Hawks varsity football team remain undefeated at 6-0 after routing the Adair County Indians 45-6 during their Homecoming on Friday, September 22.

    The Hawks got off to a hot start when running back Bryson Cobb evaded tacklers on a 59 yard touchdown run. Cobb also converted the two point conversion to give the Hawks an early 8-0 lead.

    The Lady Hawks are now 11-2-1 on the season. They played Spencer County on Monday and the results of that game will be featured in the October 4 edition of The LaRue County Herald News. Their next game is away this Thursday against Atherton at 6 p.m.

    The Hawks are now 3-10 on the season. Their next game is away this Thursday at 6:30 p.m. against West Jessamine.

  • Lady Hawks soccer on a roll

    The LCHS Lady Hawks varsity soccer team has had their best year since 2013 as they are now 11-2-1.

    In 2013, the Lady Hawks went 15-3-2, which also included winning the 18th district championship. The Lady Hawks played Spencer County on Monday and then they have three more games in the regular season. If they win all of them, the Lady hawks will finish with a 15-2-1 record in the regular season, not including the district and regional tournament.

  • Trying everything out

    Actress Evangeline Lilly said “The world is full of opportunities, and I want to try as many as I possibly can.” Lady Hawk’s volleyball and cheerleader Katelynn Lafollette could say the same.

    Lafollette has been involved with the volleyball program for the last four years and the cheer program for the last seven years. She is also involved in other activities at LCHS, including the high school choir program and the track team.
