  • Hawks remain undefeated 3-0

The LCHS Hawks varsity football team are now 3-0 after beating the Thomas Nelson Generals 49-14 on Thursday, August 31.

The game was rescheduled from Friday, September 1 because of Hurricane Harvey that was scheduled to move through the state on Friday. However, the change did not affect the Hawks as they won their third game. It is the first time they have been 3-0 since 2002 when the Hawks were 12-0 until they lost to Corbin in the state playoffs.

  • Being dependable

One of my greatest sources of quotes comes from the master motivator Zig Ziglar. He said “Ability is important in our quest for success, but dependability is critical.” LCHS senior cross country runner William Pearman has proven that in the classroom and on the course to be just that, dependable.

Pearman started running cross country as a 7th grader in 2012 and he has been a varsity runner since 2014. LCHS Cross Country Head Coach Jim B. Phelps thinks highly of his lone senior.
